740 low idle, pumping brakes increases revs

Post by Stetson »

I've got a 1990 740 with the B230F and after a cold start the revs stay a bit too low on idle. Something like 500rpm. If I pump the brakes the revs get up to where they are supposed to. When I stop the pumping the revs go back down.

Any ideas what could be causing this?

I suspect a vacuum leak in the power brake system.
