2007 2.4T or non turbo?

Post by randyking »

Hi there,

Going to look at a car on CL. Owner said it was a 2007 v70 2.4t. Can that be right? Has the 2.4t logo on the back. Really confused because all the brochures for the 07 mode year don't list a turbo variant of the 2.4 engine. I thought they just had the 2.4 and the 2.5t.

I did a quick search and came to the same conclusion - no 2.4T for that model year.

I would ask seller to send you a picture of the engine and you can see if it has a turbo or not. There is also an EPA or manufacturer sticker with the engine information on it (assuming nothing has been changed).

People add things to dress up their car so anything is possible. Nothing wrong with a 2.5T or a 2.4, just make sure you are paying for what the car is or is not.

That's confusing to say the least. The 2007 V70 was a new platform (P3), with 6 cylinder engine in the US. Ask him to post a pic with the engine bay.
