That seems a bit much since a drain bolt is provided on the bottom of the housing for drainage visibly used in the video. I know my 89 740 also had a drain plug as I recall seeing the oil draining out of it during a service. Yes i had to insist the oil to be changed out. That was long ago, but the thought of the convenient drain plug for a axle Volvo says should not have a regular service didn't make sense to me. June
