Infamous swirl flap issue => blue smokes ?

Hello forum,
a easy one:
Can an oil leak around the swirl arm be somehow related to excessive oil burnt in the engine for my XC90 D5 185 ?
One could imagine that since oil is leaking outside, it can also leak through the head gasket into the intake or something like that.
I guess not but I remember seeing a thread about that somewhere, can't find it back.
There is no resistance when I try to move the flaps so I think they are not damaged.
