2004 XC90 seats and wiring

Help, Advice, Owners' Discussion and DIY Tutorials on Volvo XC90s. The XC90 proved to be very popular, and very good for Volvo's sales numbers, since its introduction in model year 2003 (North America).

2004 XC90 seats and wiring

Post by Dadbox » Fri May 29, 2020 8:46 am

I am pretty handily at DIY and am installing a set of super-comfy Volvo seats into a non-Volvo vehicle. Can anyone point me toward a factory wiring diagram, so I can get this right the first time? I’d like to retain the power functions of the seats and heat as well. Thanks in advance!

This is perfect since I don’t have the donor vehicle. Thank you!

One more question on this topic. I’ve been successful to power up the passenger seat and controls. The driver’s side, however, has a module of some sort beneath the seat. Memory functions, perhaps? Does this need to talk to another module from the donor car? I cannot power this seat up in the same way as the drivers seat, wiring seems totally different. Again, thanks for any input. I’ve missed the comfort of these seats since selling the XC70.
