Honestly, I think they are all junk. I can't remember if I put Meyle on one of my 850ies, but all of them fail biannualy. Every other inspection or so one or teo of them are shot. So be warned, no matter what you use, they won't last nearly as long as the OE units installed in the factory.

MeyleHD was my choice two years (and some 30k miles) ago, they're still in excellent condition.

MeyleHD, MOOG and Lemforder are the trusted options for suspension components from my own research/experience.

P.S. Biannual is twice a year, biennially is every two years. English is daft.

Yes....
1.Meyle HD will outlast all others....regular Meyle will not last long.
2.Lemforder(oem)
3.Moog(good quality)
4.TRW(good)
5.Febi(good)
I never used anything from QH,so i can't say anything about their parts.

1.Meyle HD superceeds oe quality since they are reinforced.
2.Lemforder(oem)
3.Trw,Moog and Febi are excellent aftermarket brands.

Never used QH...so can't comment on their parts.

3 years ago i put in FEBI silent blocks(bushings) on both front control arms and they are excellent.

emphasis on the word "Properly" regarding setting ride height, then tightening.
Current Volvos:
1998 V70 T5, 112k sat 5 years, still in mechanical coma (finally at the top of the pile )
2004 XC90 T6 AWD: 186k, 60 on transaxle ( traded in )
1998 POS70 N/A: DD/training aid, 236k but really about 240k, I think...ABS module( passed on to son who sold it)

Good to know that Lemförder is OEM. I will give them a try the next time they fail.

If you have just bushings that fail and ball joint is good with no play...you can replace them for 3-4€/each and reuse the control arm.
