Hello,
My 06 S60 2.5T has had infrequent problems starting that have become more frequent. I identified the issue as the starting solenoid connector, took it off and cleaned in well. That solved the problem but its quite the regular occurrence now.
I took it to the shop and of course it had no issues. As it was the turbo model they said as long i should leave it as is. Next day it wouldn't start again. I called one volvo dealership and they werent to helpful.
So I'd like to fix it myself if possible. Is it possible without taking the turbo tubes off. I am having trouble identify what part no's or connector is required. Does anyone have any experience permanently fixing this on a turbo model?
Thanks!

could be ignition switch, not the lock part but the elec part of the switch.
On my old 740 I looked at the price of a new switch and installed a momentary push button.
Turn ignition to pos II and press the button, button was wired to the small terminal of starter solenoid with an inline fuse.
It picked up 12v from the cig lighter socket.
