I managed to reset the service light OK, that's not an issue.

In the process, I was fumbling around and seemed to trigger some sort of undocumented information display. I was holding down the trip reset button until there was a beep, then turning the ignition into the accessory position. The number "65" appeared on the dash in the messages display.

I did wonder if this is what I last set the cruse-control to, but I seem to remember I last used at a much more enthusiastic speed.

(This is different to the hold the reset and double-click the fog-light button thing too)

Hi. I did the same thing today and 300 appeared. I tried it again after a short drive,20 mins, and 78 appeared. Did you ever get any info on what it is?
Cheers

No, never got to the bottom of it. I sold the car about 4 year ago.

Well over 7 years ago I got a "56" in the window of my 2002.
I do not even recall what I was doing, though resetting the service reminder message was well established in my playbook.

I did post about it and someone said it was a numeric version of one of the available messages.
So, were there 45 available messages available in, say, 7 languages, there'd be a library of 315 messages (7 X 45).

No source of this problem was suggested.
One can keep in mind that the posts regarding this phenomenon were all from the "bad DIM" years.
