Post by Volvo S80 » Thu Jun 18, 2020 1:21 pm

Hello to all,

I created this post just to show you the jobs I recently did on my fathers S80, it is on our family since 2006 and I had some time so i said why not. He takes a lot of care for it and i said let me do it look almost like new.

Jobs that I did are:

Seat foam refilling on drivers seat,
Leather restoration on front seats,
Replaced the wheels,
Painted rear bumper, mirror covers, passenger door and partly the rear fender,
Painted brake calipers and discs also i installed Volvo decals on them,
Removed all interior and cleaned everything in details,
Removed blower motor and cleaned air tubes,
Ozone treatment of interior
Polished plastics, wood and chrome parts on interior,
Replaced the sagging fabric on a and b pillars,
Protected the plastics, leather and every material on interior,
Washed and cleaned the under body and wheel arches,
Protected everything on the under side,
Washed and clayed the paint and glass,
3 step polish on paint, glass polished and chrome polished,
Headlights, side markers and tail lights polished,
Ceramic coating on paint and glass,
Plastic trim protected,
Refurbished new wheels,
installed wheel bolt chrome caps
New Michelin tires,
etc

Very well done man, I did not think there was anyone else as meticulous with their car as I am,I do the exact same procedures when detailing my cars.Getting my wife's C70 Convertible done now. Where did you get the seat foam and who done the seat repair work for the leather? Thanks for sharing, from a very anal detailer and paint correction perfectionist.... You done a super job!!

This car must mean a lot to you , and your Dad must as well ! It looks like it is ready to last another 20 years.

In the midst of this transmission rebuild I'm doing its painful to see how sparkling clean it is under the hood of your car compared to the muck I have to scrape off :(

These cars could last 40 or 50 years with periodic refreshes like this . Definitely possible , heck my bronco is 42 years old and still driving about although I'm ashamed to say it hasn't been washed in the last 15 or so :?

Wow I am speechless. It looks like a brand new car off the showroom floor!

Makes mine look like garbage that's for sure.

Everything you see in this post is done by me, I finished an 30 day (8 hour per day) non stop course and practice in everything you see here, expect foam.

1. I glued special pressurized chair foam on top of factory foam afterwards with knife and sanding paper i created the form and then I reinstalled the heating element for the seats.

2. Than refilled and painted the damage on leather.
