Intermittent low oil pressure

Check your manual. It maybe acceptable for the oil light to flicker after a hot run, if it goes out at elevated idle

I didn't find anything in the manual regarding that. I'll be able to do a more thorough test once I can drive it it's currently in the air I'm also replacing tie rods and the passenger CV axle. It's not directly related but when I torqued down the upper strut bolt the specs I found were 105nm it snapped before that can anyone verify that those specs are right? I'm also having trouble finding the CV bolt specs I can find CV nut specs but not for the bolt and I feel like they'd be different

[Oil pressure warning light

If the light comes on while driving, stop the car and then stop the engine immediately and check the engine oil level. See page 124. If the light stays on after restart, have the car towed to the nearest authorized Volvo retailer. After hard driving, the light may come on occasionally when the engine is idling. This is normal, provided it goes off when the engine speed is increased.

Sorry to be dumb, but what bolt are you asking about? Are you talking about the 2 bolts holding the strut to the hub assembly? I can't think of any other bolts above that other than the nuts holding the strut to the inner fender or the top strut spring mount star nut or upper nut?

No no that's alright I probably could have clarified better. Yes the two bolts holding the bottom of the strut to the hub assembly.

I just found a shot gasket under the variable timing exhaust solenoid could that be causing my intermittent low oil pressure?
