The 850 doors will bolt right on the x70 and vice-versa.
The wiring however is different between the two cars.
If you carefully study the wiring schematics for both cars you could figure out which wires to change and how. Otherwise things like door locks and windows won't work properly. E.g. the master window switch in an 850 is in the center console but it's in the driver's door in an x70. I'm not sure I would even plug in the doors without reading up as there is probably some danger of blowing out window motors etc. You could switch the entire dash harness along with the doors that might fix it.
So overall: Not sure - requires a lot of reading of schematics and multimeter work. You could just try and see what happens, you can always go back to the original doors.
You probably already considered this but keep in mind the 850 outside door trim is different, not color matched like on an x70.
