1994 850 2.4T O2 sensor change tips

What's the best way to go about changing out my O2 sensor. I have the new sensor and tool. Just like some pointers. Thanks guys. 1994 Volvo 850 2.4 wagon non turbo

You have a removal tool and o2 sensor.
Go for it.
Remove negative battery cable while you removing the old sensor and re-connect it after you install the new one.
This way you will reset old fuel trims.

Spray the O2 sensor with your favorite penetrating oil before hand.

Every time I had to replace a O2 sensor (on 5 different brand of cars) the job is only made difficult because of access or awkward positioning.

For me they have ranged from being shockingly loose to tough to remove. But in all cases they came loose eventually.

My 850 sits so low to the ground,I had a universal cat. put on several yes. ago he let me know they won't last but a few yrs. like to get smog done or move ( : . My luck I change the rear O2 sensor and the cat will go. She's nickel and dimeing me, but have little choice. Could CEL be bc of bad rear O2 had front replaced. Still got a CEL. waiting for ABS sensor as after strut work CEL came on. What could it be?

Read the codes...you have diagnostic ports under the hood.
You just need a pencil and a piece of paper to write them down.
A2 & A6 ports...engine and ignition ecu.
