How to remove all interior door panels 1995 Volvo 850 Stationwagon?

Post by turboman850 »

My wagon has since buying it had only one door...passenger rear...that opened from inside by handle. Now that doesn't work! Tried remove interior door panel to see parts I'd need to online order. Yet CANNOT get the door panel off like I've done to other cars and trucks owned. Removed all three screws at bottom carpeted section, pulled loose the sips and removed larger screw there, but still door open handle in the way...how do I get "all" my door panels off in order to fix this severe Embarrassing problem when a passenger or more? I have extra door push in fasteners to put it back on once fixed...very cheap $3 + s/h for 20.

My 850 has four screws at the bottom carpeted section, and one more at the side (front facing) for the front door cars. There is also a screw that needs removing in the speakers. It is normally the bottom left corner of the 4 screws holding the speakers in. To access the speaker screws you'll need to unclip the speaker grill (they just lever off).

The black door handle pulls straight up (just get fingers beneath it and pull straight up), and once the screws and handle is removed the panel can be removed by lifting slightly out and then lifting up.
