Hi, this is my first post, so we will see how this goes. We have just bought a used 2004 XC-90 and the Regular Service Message came up. I just finished changing my oil, but I can't reset the Regular Service Message. I checked the forum and followed the instructions for the 2001 02 and 03's, but it didn't work for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I really don't want to go to the dealer, I am sure that is an expensive proposition.

Thanks

I think it's the same as on our '04 V70:
V70 Service Light Reset ('02-):
- Ignition to position I
- Press and hold in the reset button for the trip odometer
- Ignition to position II within 2 seconds.
- Hold the reset button for the trip meter pressed in until the original value has been reset.
A general yellow lamp will light when the reset button is released.
- Release the reset button for the trip odometer within 4 seconds (if not, it won't reset).
The instrument gives an audible signal when resetting has succeeded.
- If the trip meter is already reset, the reset button should be held in for a minimum of 10
seconds and a maximum of 14 seconds.
