Hello everyone, my dog chewed up my key fob pretty good recently. Also it’s key the only key I have for the car. So, I bought a new fob off the internet. I swapped the circuit board from my original key to the new one. I can get the key to unlock/lock, and the security alarm to go off. When I go to put the fob in the dash. It saids insert car key, and will not start.

I will greatly appreciate if some can point me in the right direction. Thank you

Look inside the old case for a ID46 Transponder Chip. Make sure it gets transferred to the new case.
The PC board is the remote. The ID46 chip is the key.
