I have a 2016 s60 t5 r-design...after it rains or I wash the car, there is a mildew smell in the car. It will usually go away after the rain clears up and the car is driven. The smell is there before even starting the car, so it is not coming from the A/C. Dealer checked all drains and they can’t find anything wrong of course. Friend says to look at the windshield for leaks but I haven’t noticed any water coming in. I’ll have to have the dealer check it out tomorrow as the car is still there.
Also by far the weirdest thing... a random chime comes through the speakers when I drive the car in remote areas, anywhere from 20 miles or more outside of the city I live in. Random chime dings every 3-4 minutes. Drives me crazy, I am praying it doesn’t do this next week when I drive all the way to Florida. No warning lights come on or anything, just a random ding, but it is so annoying and only when I am in outlying areas. Has anyone ever heard of this?

The random ding is from your navigation. Go to settings of your navigation and disable notification for speed traps. It was driving me crazy especially since there is no message. I was able to figure it out because it was doing at the exact place every time I drove from work.glasst5 wrote: ↑05 Aug 2020, 19:05 I have a 2016 s60 t5 r-design...after it rains or I wash the car, there is a mildew smell in the car. DO you know if they checked the cowl area for debris? The black panel immediately in front of lower windshield covers an area that has drains and leaves, etc. can collect there and get stinky when wetted. The fresh air inlet is in that area and the fan draws it in.

Yes. I have found things in that area that made car stink. Breezes blowing by car will pull air in through blower and exits behind bumper sides in rear when car is sitting. The design is to move air when air goes by car. I mentioned this as I know Florida climate and vegetation makes it high on the list of a/c mold and mildew odor locations.
