I'm back with a 2003 V70 since my last activity here about eight years ago using a Volvo 850 (thank you Matthew).
So, my new old Volvo V70 that I bought about a month ago doesn't seem to stop surprising me with many electronic imperfections.
First of all the two rear doors can't be opened from the outside and the rear right door couldn't be open almost at all (with the exceptions of about once every four days).
Since I changed the driver's door control module (the one including the buttons for all the four doors) it started behaving better (started opening only from the inside as does the left rear door).
Before that I replaced the rear fuse control module to no avail.
Also after I lock the car after I leave it using the remote control, it locks, but after about a minute I can hear the automatic lock (the one that locks the car when one forgets to do so after leaving it) locking the doors ...
After a transmission oil flush the gears started not to up shift always and especially after the car is left parked for about 2-3 hours.
After my mechanic did the learning on the gear box it was OK.
Another thing is the ABS fault light that is on.
I changed the front right ABS Sensor as per the diagnostics' software troubleshooting, but that didn't solve the problem.
AND today after about one mile I noticed that the gear box started not up shifting, BUT after the ABS fault light came on the gear up shifting suddenly became normal ...
In the beginning I believed the ABS module has to be repaired or replaced, but now I believe more and more it is the main ECU module that has to be checked and repaired or replaced.
Also the fuel door lock doesn't unlock almost never and I have to open the small door in the trunk and move the plastic lock pin manually.
The fault is not in the locking mechanism as I tested the small electric motor and its gears and they are OK, which makes me believe the trouble comes from the electronic part of the car.
Any thoughts on this topic?
Thank you in advance
