S80 2.5 bhp upgrade n/a 1999

Hi there I'm new here I just recently got a S80 1999 2.5 non turbo was wondering if there is anything I could do to make it a bit more responsive engine has been well maintained was thinking of Bosch super 4 spark plugs ? Is there anything thing I can do to the air intake that's safe for the car many thanks

I don't even think they sell a car configured in that manner in the USA. Therefore I know of nothing. All most all power upgrades to Volvos require a retune - so I would start there and see if there are any tuners for that engine. I have only seen retunes for turbo based motors.

My experience says enjoy it as it is because any "upgrade" will cost you more than the car is worth - too much electronics and no turbos to work with.

Only recommendation I have here, and it's a strongly held one, is to only use genuine Volvo spark plugs.
