AC Stops as it should during hard acceleration but won't reset

Post by sak54757 »

Hi all I have a venerable 2001 xc70 almost 200,000 miles on it, hopefully I can double that...
So, Air Conditioner works fine until I have to stomp on it, or, if i have a load, mildly accelerate, Then it shuts off and will not come back on until I turn the car off and back on. I assume whatever relay shuts off the compressor is not automatically resetting. Is this part of one of the many modules or is there an actual relay that does this?

Could be a clutch gap issue.

Glad it helped....I've recently been dealing with it myself and fixed for now with cable ties.
