I don't know if this is one of the famous BTCC 850 cars. Anyone know?

Definitely not a BTCC car - wrong sponsors and wrong wheels. That car actually looks more like the Volvo 850 Super Touring from the Swedish Touring Car Championship - in which the 850 was more successful than in the BTCC. The STCC 850 still holds the record of most consecutive STCC victories with driver Jan "Flash" Nilsson claiming six back to back victories during the 1997 season - it also won two titles ('96 and '97).

As per the BTCC these cars were built by Tom Wilkinshaw Racing, and the team was run by Cyan Racing - who did no further development to the car.

It does look like Rickard Rydell's name as one of the 2 on the rear door window. Makes me think it is a Swedish race car but in Australia or NZ. Greenfields is a Mower manufacturer in Australia and Prime Television is a NZ company. Ericcson also had a big presence in Australia back in the 90's.

A bit of sleuthing and it was a car driven at the 1997 Bathurst 1000 driven by Rickard Rydell and Jim Richards.
