It's a beautiful car! You don't want to remove any metal framework. Volvo does nothing by chance! Undoubtedly it's there for a reason, likely to do with crashworthiness. The bottle in the photo is what saved my leather. I recommend it highly. Years of Florida heat had hardened my cars leather. I tried all sorts of products. Then this one rejuvenated the leather. I get it from Amazon. June
