Info screen issue

My 04 xc70 does this now. I already tried replacing the screen. And once in a while it will display. But it's rare. Image attached. Not a huge deal but irritating.

From what I understand - and mine (06 s60) fizzed out pretty much completely two weeks ago - is that a couple IC's / chips on the circuit board need to be soldered / reflow soldered professionally and it will be fixed. The electrical contacts disintegrate over time, and resolder is the way to do it. There are folks online that do it anywhere from $150 shipped back and forth to $500. If there is a shop nearby that repairs game consoles they can probably repair it as well.
