My manual doesn't seem to give actual hard numbers, and I'm getting confused and conflicting responses from shops and dealers. How often are you supposed to change the following:
- Brake fluid
- Power steering fluid
- Engine coolant
- Transmission fluid
- Any other fluids besides oil or windshield washer
Can I get a quick refresher on fluid change intervals?

Do you drive an AWD automatic? I believe the trans is recommended at 52,500 for drain interval. If never changed I'd do a few drain/fills at a few oil change intervals - say three - then go to every 30k. Bevel gear, Haldex, rear diff - not sure about those. There's lots of recommendations out there. Oil I usually drain and fill motor oil at 5k miles. Brake fluid I bleed about every two years, and usually change coolant at the same interval.

See as above if awd
This was for the S80, gives an idea. Steering gets only Pentosin type fluid - greenish color. If you find red color, drain, flush and refill with Pentosin
With transmission, I would replace no more than 2-3 liters, then drive the car a few months, and replace again. Type JWS 3309 fluid. If towing, transmission fluid is replaced more often
