2002 S60 Misfire (it seems) but not throwing code

2002 s60 non turbo.. Been trying to hunt down a rough idle and misfire issue for a while now.. I am not getting a misfire code in vdash or my cheapy obd reader..

I've checked plugs and regapped them, checked coils with a spare spark plug and they all seem to work.. Pulled the fuel pump rail and had someone turn the key and fuel injections seem OK (proper spray)..

So at this point I'm scratching my head as to why she's running so rough.. She idles around 1,000rpm at idle which seems high to me as well

Also I did a compression test on the engine warm and 175-180psi across all cylinders.. Not sure what the range should be

Just read about the ETM whine test.. So when I turn ignition on I get the whine then a click but whine doesn't go away.. ETM failure? Its a white label ETM from a yard..

Compression is fine

The ETM should whine for 8 seconds then go thunk. After that, quiet

Pull the date code off the etm , they went from early white label, to yellow label, back to white label.

Just like sharknado, the third one is best
