Fuel Pump Electrical Troubleshoot

Hello everyone
Am new to the site Please I need troubleshooting instructions and have limited access to tools can anyone help point me in the right direction I'm a college student and have no money my family is on fixed-incom wanted to reach out for some help my father told me to try this i have a 2012 xc70. That. Worked fine but had a window issue from rain had t o order master cylinder. I ordered and waited.....

That night my brother ran dry pump no gas.
Next day it wouldnt start
Replaced fuses 3x as per neighbor (they kept blowing)
He finally suggested to order fuel pump

Fast Forward 1 week
Pump came in looked exactly like other pump

Neighbor was acting leary of doing the work and wad fickle ablut installing for a few days.fknally insaidninhave to have my car and helped him remove tank(handed him tools) so didnt see all the procedure. I had to leave and he comtinued

I arrive back and tank has been drained dropped and car on jacks. I noticed replacement pump was already in the tank. He was reinstalling amd I asked if he checked the pump for power? He paused and realized he didnt so he said we would finish it tomorrow we checked for crank since it was attached but nothing we could only gas rag it and make it start. I have a gas tank and a lump sitting on my driveway and I have no idea where to start.

The pump works I plugged straight to 12v and checked connector lins and terminal on pump and connector for hot connection they all seem good. I waited until the next day and nothing no sign no show. So that repair has never happened and has been 3 months!!!!!
e and anyway I would really greatly appreciate it .


Questions:

A) installation of plastic tank and fuel pump instructions or diagram

B) electrical power continuity from 12 volt 2 fuel tank 2 fuel line
