2009 Volvo S40 Oil Pressure Lamp

Post by SmirnouF »

Hello dear Volvo team,

I am Sinan from Turkey and i am new in forum. I have an 2009 Volvo S40 1.6 D (Dv6 eur4 engine) and have been driving my car since a year. But today i noticed anything that came very strange to me.Its about oil pressure lamp on the gauge.

Normally when switch the keys to "On" position , all the lambs on the gauge glows ,after a couple seconds , most of them goes out except oil pressure lamb. When start the engine , the oil pump pumps the oil to crankshaft , camshaft , turbo bearings etc , finally arrives to oil pressure switch , push it with pressure and then the oil pressure lamb also goes out. But i noticed it is different in my car. I switch the car to "On" - all lambs glow and then all lambs goes out (including oil pressure lamb). Is it normal for a 2009 S40 1.6 diesel engine? Please could you also check and inform if you have the same in your car ?

Below i write the link for the video.
