2000 V70 AWD
cannot pin point better yet, may be LF only, maybe not
also: occasionally a "brake" dash light illuminates briefly, not parking brake, just "brake"
the noise is not 100% continuous but did increase to the point I just aborted a trip to town and will use alternate transport because it is ominous, as in could get more expensive
Brakes have been working great.
I guess next big step in get all four wheels off the ground real stable and run it and listen close up
new metal on metal scraping noise from wheels, LF, area

Not sure why the 'Brake' warning light would come on unless you have a fluid leak or a damaged ABS wire. But that would through an ABS warning light too.
Could be a stuck brake caliper and worn down brake pads. Don't assume both are related. They may or may not be.
