Off topic - if your snow blower doesn't start

Post by oragex »

I dare share this with you even if it's not about a car, but still has an engine to it

I had many troubles with a rather new snow blower when trying to start it after the summer storage. While there are a couple of things that help - such as draining a little bit of gas or even removing the emulsion tube for cleaning, I've discovered a dumb easy trick that I haven't seen elsewhere, and I made of video with it. I'm just sharing this, if it may help someone
(in the video description there are links for the other procedures)

Any videos on how to get your dad to sell two of the three snowblowers he's hoarding?

They're slowly succumbing to entropy -- flat tires, old gasoline in the system, neglect, etc.

I've got the idiot neighbor down street who bought the flashy snowblower that won't move anything. We've dug him out twice.

Do I have to tell him is throttle linkage is disconnected and he is blowing st idle ??

How can you be 35 years old and can't tell the difference between idle and full speed and/or not hear the difference ?

My snowblowers timing (auger) belt broke yesterday.
Should have changed it @100 hr. recommended service.
Switched over to shoveling, now I’m broken.

I wasn't aware there is a belt that needs serviced. Do all snowblowers have such belt ?

1 drive belt, 1 impeller/auger belt (some have 2).
They both usually last a long time. Easy to replace,
but not in middle of snow storm.

I have a snow removal machine I call "Oliver". He's 11 now, so that's his chore.
