Seat cushion

I’m looking to change out the bottom seat cushion of the driver seat. It seems to have a failed spring support making the comfort not comfortable.
Should I explore fixing this break or just get a replacement bottom. Would the passenger seat bottom be an option for the driver side? I was thinking of just swapping them in my car.

How's the skin on it? I would suggest pulling the skin off the base and examining the seat cushion for a detached spring or support, it's unlikely that anything "broke". If you need a new base skin get that first so you can replace it and do get one off the passenger side. You can get the base skin off at the auto wreckers without removing the seat, you will have to remove your seat to get the new one on. I did both my seats, base and back this summer, its an easy job and well worth the improvement for the cost. When you pull the skins off and see how well made these seats are you will understand why these cars are so comfortable!

The base skins are in good shape. Whenever I sit on it I here and feel metal in just one corner.

I would investigate what has come detached. As I remember, it doesn't appear easy to remove the foam base but maybe some others can offer some input and insight. Certainly source a replacement if that's required from the passenger side if you need one.
