Transmission Leak: Some photos

Post by tworedvolvos »

Anyone have any idea for potential transmission leak sites based on the photos?

Figure it's asking a lot but maybe someone knows a common location near the leak..

It's right in the center on the car on this crossmember of sorts.

I'm planning on getting it up on jackstands soon to get a better look but wanted to see if anyone had any ideas.

Thoughts?

It is hard to see in the photos. My 240s with auto trans tend to leak at the tail shaft bushing. It is not too hard to replace the bushing and rear seal.

Give ATP AT-205 Re-Seal a try. Any improvement is better than none. It worked on a mystery transmission seepage on my 03 S80 T6.
