03 S80 T6 Good Size Oil Leak Or...
Been laid out for a couple of weeks due to some health issues. Oil spot has been slowly accumulating and getting larger on the street each time it's driven and parked. Checked the level the other day and it was halfway on the dipstick from being parked overnight so have not driven it for over a week. The pan underneath looks wet and two drip spots.
Can't work on it let alone look at it at this time. 2 Sell or Not To Sell?

Considerations you have likely thought about:
Do you have alternate vehicle or means to get where you need to go?
Can you afford to replace with another vehicle?
Can you afford to get it inspected or repaired? It may be only a leaking drain plug.
General state of repair other than the leak?
Can you just keep topping off the oil? Can you do this yourself or do you need someone else to top off?
Would you accept help in getting repaired by other MVS people?

Considerations you have likely thought about:
Do you have alternate vehicle or means to get where you need to go? Yes. One car between wife and I.
Can you afford to replace with another vehicle? Yes, a used one but trying not to tap into savings. Problem is I'm unable to work on cars now so if the used one needs it I'm in the same boat. Have an 03 Odyssey needing waterpump replacement and can't do it now so that's another car that has been sitting since Feb 1st. Put a bunch into the Odyssey and it sprung a water pump leak. New Michelin tires only a couple hundred miles driven, new half shaft, sway bar bushings, rear parking brake, pad and rotors, brake flush and oil change.
Can you afford to get it inspected or repaired? It may be only a leaking drain plug. Took a peak the other day and there is oil drip from several spots so not the plug. Can't remember the last time any cars was in a shop for repairs. Afraid it will cost a bunch to figure it out and still have the wrong diagnosis. Not sure I should drive it to the shop either. Kind of home bound unless I absolutely have to go out.
General state of repair other than the leak? FCP maintenance parts sitting around: Upper and lower radiator hose. Turbo charge hose, front and rear bushing for both front control arms and probably some other parts. Both A Pillar need upholstery done, need alarm module and driver's seat coming apart. Was thinking doing the work when son is home for the summer but he is going to be working full time so not looking good.
Can you just keep topping off the oil? Can you do this yourself or do you need someone else to top off? Yes I can top off, but in a lot of pain so just not in the mood to go out. Besides the last time I checked the oil level was half way up the dipstick so didn't even bother doing any more investigating.
Would you accept help in getting repaired by other MVS people? I would consider it.

I decided to take a look at the dipstick again today. The level is not way up but just a little above the top hash-mark as the car is facing downhill. It looks like a power steering leak for sure as the reservoir is very low and I had just top it off before the health issues so when I am well enough I will have a look. For now the car won't be sold.

Last summer my next door neighbor was starting his Land Rover and it sounded bad - low oil rattle. I sad "dude sounds like you have an oil issue." He said yes - showed me his cardboard under the car and the swamp.
He borrowed some oil and took it to the shop that does his service. Ends up they didn't tighten the oil filter properly. All was well.
The point is you need to take a look or have someone look for you. It could be a leaking oil drain plug and the wind blows it around. Power steering a cracked/bulging power steering pump reservoir or hose clamp (this is a very common issue on aged Volvos).
Wouldn't hurt to do a glove test on the PCV system.
I think your approach is sound until your son comes and can take a look. It should take 30 minutes to exclude the low level repairs.

Weather getting better and hopefully I can get pass this health issue soon. I'm pretty good about double checking those things above as I don't like stains large or small on the driveway nor street in front of the house. If the vehicle has even a very minor drip it's in the street.
It's due for an oil change and it didn't leak prior to that. I'd checked the PCV at the last oil change with the glove. I know for a fact that it's PS fluid but won't guess where it's coming from till I poke around. Thanks.
