Is disconnecting the main power cable at the fuse box (Big red one) just as good as disconnecting the battery clamp from the battery itself? Yeah I'm Lazy - with a wagon, there's a few layers to dig through to get to the battery..

Not as good.

1. Does not shut down the REM.
2. The correct order is:
  • A. Disconnect negative terminal.
    B. Disconnect positive terminal.
    C. Reconnect positive terminal.
    D. Turn key to POSII.
    E. Reconnect negative terminal.
D & E forces the control modules to reinitialize.

Thanks. I'm saving this. Good to know, and maybe I should initialize the car, since it's been a while..
