OK< I see the two little press in tabs, but I don''t have the official connector release tool. I tried just pinching them in with my fingers but the connector refuses to release. Can someone tell me what the magic word, super secret grip, is to get them to let go?

They are likely filled with dirt. Try a spray of your favorite cleaner to flush out the dirt. I can't remember if they are pinch type or slide side ways. If pinch type get needle nose pliers. If slide type, get an open end wrench of proper size to give you some force on the small tabs.

Pinch type. I found some pliers that had the perfect fit for the two press in tabs. The spray was the thing that did the trick - the connector release was just really stuck and would not let go.
