I'm always fascinated by T5's. I no longer have T5 envy and am plenty happy with my '98 GLT, but they're rare enough around here that when one comes up I can't help but be interested, if only out of curiosity. These both look pretty tasty to me, but I'm wondering what sayeth the experts?

I think they will both sit at that price. Let’s check back in a week.

One has the classic listing of maintenance costs trying to justify the price, with a salvage title to boot.

I like to think I could get this for my T5M which is totally unrealistic

Listing for the first one is gone. The second one for $4000 looks a lot like mine which I paid $1800 for in the Allentown, PA area. I also had a fair amount of service documentation for work done. Mine now has 156k and is in similar condition. Mine is black, which I like, but the silver paint looks great.

All running and on the road.
PM me if you are in Ohio. I'm in Lorain.

It's in pretty nice shape, but maybe more realistic if it had a manual transmission. (I bought my '98 T5 wagon with 200k miles for $400, though it needs a new steering rack.)
