A week ago, on the hottest day of the year so far, the normal behaviour - fan speed going high on request for maximum AC gradually reducing as bin temperature falls stopped work in a short journey. After a few minutes the process restarted, ran for a few seconds and then died. I reasoned that this was a failing/failed regulator as the fan continued to spin on speed one, not responding to the speed control knob (still illuminating all LED s). I ordered a new motor (£90) and regulator (£30) as the car is 2001.
I found the OEM part numbers in ViDA as there are many different versions offered for sale here. It's a fairly awkward job as working position is so uncomfortable and on (T25) retaining screw is difficult to access. I took my time and tested the new components by connecting the to the wiring harness and running the system before installing the assembly. I guess it took an hour and a half. But the result is completely working ECC. The procedure is fully described in ViVA pdf are attached.
