I'm a volunteer firefighter, and I'm considering how to outfit a P2 S60 with flashing red lights. These would be used if a call comes in while I just happen to be out and about with it.
They can't be on top of the car, not even the removable Starsky-and-Hutch style. They could be between the visors and the headliner, or on but I'd rather not do anything highly visible through the windshield, either.
Ideally, we're talking about hideaways inside the front and rear fixtures. I suppose I could live with going behind the grille, but that still leaves the question of the rear lights.
The question is, though, where exactly? I considered taking over one of the rear position light locations, and just hoping the guy who inspects it next year doesn't know there's supposed to be two. I don't really have any good ideas yet about the fronts.
Has anyone else done this to a P2 S60?
Of course, there's also the question of where to put the switch, such that my better half doesn't accidentally turn them on when she's driving the car. I'm contemplating the kind of switch that needs a key, just so there's zero chance of mishaps...
Any thoughts would be welcome.

You want inconspicuous ..
Modify the third brake light with Tri color RGB LEDs ( Red Green Blue ). With a controller you can make any color from RGB. This is how your TV makes all the colors. Also control the flash pattern. If you have any electronics background a controller should be easy.
Backup lights is another possibility.
On the front you might be able to add a high power RGB LEDs to one of the bulb sockets and keep it inconspicuous. They do make RGB-White LED headlight bulbs.
Fog lights is another possibility.
Tuck the switch top side of the lower lip of the dash. Out of sight and where she will not be poking around. Else you could put the switch in plain sight and mark it Ejection seat.
