Does anyone know the proper size Oetiker clamp for the inner CV joints on an Automatic Turbo '98 V70 T5?
I did the boots a while back (replaced with GKN, the only way to go after I had tried REIN and EMPI, each lasting about a year), but this time, I noticed that the clamp that came with the inner boot I bought was a little loose, even when I tightened it all the way (ears of the clamp touching). It's made a decent seal, can't slide off, but it's still able to slide around, has slung grease everywhere, and I need to redo it. Boot's still fine, I just need a clamp.
The old SAAB 900 cars used hose clamps on the inner joints. I wish I could just do this - but you Volvo guys seem way more worried about balancing the axle assemblies than the SAAB guys ever were. Probably wouldn't like that worm drive on one side, although I could link two hose clamps together... I've seen cars go with zip ties for years, but that's another story!

Zip ties on an 08 C30 M66 inner axle has held for around 6 months. Have new axle but no place to replace it yet.
