C70 weird starting issue.

Post by subzerocarfanatic »

Well I am back to update the starting issue with our 2000 C70 Convertible.
I have not been able to work on it so it was put in the garage and parked. I can remove the 15 amp fuse ( #1 that is labeled ( IGN SWITCH CONTACT SYSTEM in the triangle shaped fuse box mounted to shock tower on LHD ) before I go to start the car and it will start and run every single time and drives fine. I drove it on a 40 mile trip yesterday to my brothers in Dickinson just to try the car out and it ran awesome, no problems, I used the cruise all the way there and back and the convertible top and all other accessories work flawlessly, so I am a bit puzzled what could be causing this.
Why do I have to pull this fuse every time after driving it before it will start and drive again? Xemodex is having trouble with their remote diagnostic service so that option is out. It is hard to use my VIDA DICE scanner because to run the ETM test on the car you have to turn the key off and on again and hit start test, so when the key is turned off the fuse has to be pulled and reinstalled each time for it to work.
I would be very grateful for any advice anyone might have!
