Lesjofors Springs?
Are these any good or just aftermarket junk with a Swedish name. Looking to replace my front springs. Thanks.

After wrestling with replacing spring seats in my 2004 XC70, I discovered weak struts, slightly gritty bearings, trashed bump stops and had to replace sway bar end links that got trashed in the process. I think my next purchase will be Sachs quick struts and Lemfoerder sway bar end links. The XC70s of this vintage have notoriously weak springs that break. Mine have rust coming through the plastic coating on them.
Unfortunately, the Sachs Quick Struts are out of stock everywhere. I hope they are still being made!

- I have Lesjofors springs (front and rear) in my cars Volvo, BMWs etc. at home.
They are great products.
- P2 V70 (FWD) struts are about 1.5 inches shorter that XC70 (AWD):

- Re Sachs quick struts: the V70 version can be found on ebay. I could not find Sachs quick struts for XC70 on ebay.

Thanks for the information. I recently bought a brand new set of 4 Sachs struts off the local buy and sell for $75 for all four. Someone bought them and installed them to "remedy" their 4C service required message unsuccessfully so took them off 2 weeks later when their proper 4C struts showed up. As my old struts have brand new spring seats and strut bearings, I decided it's time to replace the rusty sagging springs as well. I just ordered the Lesjofors springs and will install them next week on the new struts.
My ride height is easily an inch or more low with the old springs so a slightly higher front end would be welcome!
Here in Canada, just about every '05 and newer XC that I've looked at has the 4C system and 100% of them have the 4C Service Required message illuminated. I did a fair bit of research into this system when trying to evaluate whether or not it could be repaired economically and effectively. Although it is a very good system when working, there is too many components associated with it, not just the $2000 struts to troubleshoot. I am thankful that my car does not have the 4C system and would avoid any used Volvo that does.
