Tailgate Open Message On

So I was having trouble with my tailgate, the latch was going and when it finally went my Tailgate Open Message stayed on. I brought it to the local body shop... $500 and I have a new latch, BUT THE FRIGGEN LIGHT WONT SHUT OFF - someone help me because I am so friggen lost.... thanks

On my 2001 V70, the tailgate open sensor is a switch that is part of the lock actuator. I believe it has a separate wire connector. Your shop may have forgotten to connect the switch wire.
