Gas cap… fart?

Hey there! First time Volvo owner here.

So, dealership couldn’t replicate. Have a 2015 Volvo v60 T5 e-drive premier

Kept hearing this strange sound inside the cabin. I thought it was a speaker. Listened and waited a bunch to find it’s the gas cap making a very odd air sound every so often.

No check engine codes, and he did a “quick emissions system test” and still nothing.

I’m have a quick video clip of the sound.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

I had the same issue with the same model/spec. I bought a non-OEM replacement and the noise stopped but now there's negative pressure in the tank when I open the cap. No performance or fuel pump issues after about 40k miles with the new gas cap.

I bought a volvo S60 T5 2016 model. The car makes a farting noise when its idling and at low speeds. The fuel also gets cut every half galloon. I read various threads online. Changed the purge value and EVAP canister so far. No use, the sound persists. Anyone got any suggestions?
