How to set dual VVT timing sprockets?

Post by hans747 »

Hi everyone!

I want to get my timing job done this weekend, and I need one more piece of information.

My car is a 2004 model with the dual VVT system, so it has two of the movable hubs. I made all my markings before removing them. I marked the left and rightmost play in them. And I have the cam locking tool keeping everything aligned. But here is my question:

When i reinstall the timing belt. Should I have the cam hubs turned toward in the clockwise or counterclockwise diversion?

I feel like the answer is clockwise, but I don’t want to guess on this
