2005 XC70 totally dead--buzzing near ECM
I have a 2005 XC70 with 120,000 miles. It has a bad steering rack and cam seal oil leak. I was going to try to sell it for a couple thousand. It hadn't been driven in a few weeks. Last week, I went to start it and it had enough juice to light up the dashboard but not to turn over the engine. I let it sit and went to try to jump it today. Heard a buzzing near the ECM, and when I tried to jump it, I got nothing. No lights, no sounds, no starter motor. Totally dead. I'm thinking it's time to just donate to charity and take the small deduction unless anyone has thoughts on what I might try to get it running enough to drive to a place that may give me a token amount of money for it.

Swap in a good battery from a friends car and see if that will breathe fire
A really dead battery sometimes, can’t be jump started

Don't think I have enough knowledge of electrical systems to not just send you down the wrong wormhole, but- I see you're in Virginia. If you decide to dump that baby, let me know first and we'll talk
