P2 v70 Rear spring advise , options, codes

I am in the process of ordering new rear springs to replace my rusty ones before they break. The IPD website lists several options for springs marked: Code 78, 16, 68 etc and also "heavy duty" springs. I cannot find any codes or markings on my old ones. Is it possible to get this information from the VIN?

The easiest way is to call the dealer and ask them for this information. Or go to your local dealer and ask them to print you "as build" sheet with all the infor on suspension parts etc. I searched for this info high and low on my P3s amd ended up at dealer part counter asking for specific code(so I can buy from fcp).
