97 960, going to grab some parts off a 960 with only 87K.
Will be dragging enough tools without adding all my big sockets to the mix.
I'm thinking 32mm or a 36mm. Rather take the single socket than the weight of extras.
Plan on getting quite a few low mileage parts.
Thanks Dave

If you are talking about wheel hub nuts, just take a large adjustable wrench. The torque will not be high enough to risk rounding the nut corners. One wrench will fit any size.

Thanks for the suggestion.
I've pulled these off before. It takes my 3/4" breaker bar and socket. Have to stand on it and bounce. Adding these tools adds weight with all the tools I'll be carrying.
And at this yard the 960 is at the farthest corner. A good little haul. I'll already be taking more tools than usual as I plan on grabbing quite a few parts from this car.
Being lazy I guess, when I can jack my car up, pull the wheel and pop off the hub nut cover to select the proper socket.
Asking seems easier.

I would bring all the sockets. I’ve had instances where aftermarket axle nut hex sizes were different from stock on bmws. 30mm 32 mm 36mm.
My E83 has a Rein front axle nut that is different from the other at the moment. It was something like $35 bucks cheaper
