The driver seat in my 04 XC90 was pretty busted up. I removed a seat cushion from passenger side another one of similar vintage. I don’t know the exact year, but I just made sure it was heated. It was a pretty straight forward swap. I just swapped the cushion and cover as one piece. I checked continuity on the heater and just went for it. I also used a leather kit (pricey but worth it, ) that made it look way better than just cleaning it because it had some staining. Only special tools I needed were end snips and hog rings (I used the largest ones from the set below).
Got it installed and it looks better than the rest of the seats.
But for anyone out there wondering, the cushions will swap passenger to driver (US at least) for this model year. Just sharing that it was relatively straightforward and can be done with simple hand tools.
