2014 S60 Coolant leak

Post by lsramek »

I have a 2014 S60 that is leaking coolant. I have traced down to the hose on driver side that kind of wraps under the air intake and battery and appears to plug on a molded adapter. I am not sure if the hose is leaking or the adapter or both. If i run my finger along the bottom of the adapter there is coolant there. My question is should I replace both the adapter and hose and how difficult is it to remove the adapter? The adapter appears to quick disconnect type. Does anyone have a writeup on doing this?

Welcome aboard!

Would you be able to attach some photos of the affected area? Also, which engine do you have: the 4, 5 or 6 cyl.?
Thanks
Example of Precision: Measure with a Micrometer, mark it with Chalk, and then cut it with an Axe.
Disclaimer: We (very) seldom do that

Sorry been extremely busy, if anyone on here can tell me how easy it is to remove and replace the part circled. Or if I am better off just having dealer replace. I am really concerned with having to take to dealer as closest dealer is 80 miles from my home. When can is running I can see drips of coolant on the bottom of this part. Do you know if I can buy just this part or does it come with the hose attached?
