Reset parking bulb failure warning after bulb has been replaced

Post by Tobykeane »

I have replaced both rear parking lights with new bulbs but the error still shows on the DIM. My DIM is very intermittent (possibly due to a dodgy solder job on the circuit board from factory) may this be a problem? Both lights are
Now working fine how can I reset the DIM? Thanks

Detection of a bulb failure is determined by current draw( through a shunt resistor), did you use the correct wattage bulbs? LED type bulbs are lower in current and can cause a bulb failure message. Don't think the DIM problem would change the bulb failure message and there's no reset that I'm aware of. When the current draw is in an expected range the message should go away. When looking at the new bulbs, does the brightness look the same on both sides?
