2011 V50 Sunroof Drain Replacement

Post by PooYork »

I, like others, have been having the dreaded clogged sunroof drain hose issues. I watched some Youtube videos and found one where the guy replaced the multi-part hose with a single hose.

I just did the same, but when I went to run the hose through the hole in the firewall, I could only slip the hose through about a half inch. the part I removed has a two inch or so part that runs through the hole and beyond. Has anyone else done this job and has any advice for me?

Hi - I just did this this past summer. After dropping headliner and prepping I too noticed this would be difficult (I think I watched the same video). I heated the end of the tubing slightly to get it into the wider receiving tube (bending carefully) and used a mirror and headlamp to guide it in. No water since. Hope this helps.
