Opinions on 2007-2016 V70 and XC70

Hello,
Just wondering how happy people are with their 2007-2016 bricks (V70, XC70).
Did you buy new, used?
Do you fix yourself?
Likes, dislikes.
Can you compare them to older V70, XC70s?
I've been a fan for a while 1989 740 was the first but the winter salt in Ottawa, Canada is bloody deadly....to cars.
